Meal Planning Monday

You all know me and my crazy need for organization (of SOME things). My house can be a disaster and laundry might be piled up, but I always try my very hardest to put a homemade (or semi-homemade) meal on the table during the work week. The only thing is...I HATE going to the grocery store. Ok, so hate is a strong word...but I truly loathe it with all my being.  So every Sunday I like to create our meal plan for the week, update our whiteboard, and get my grocery list together so that I can *hopefully* skip going to the grocery store again for the week. Most of our fruits and vegetables stay fresh, I don't have to think about what I'm going to make for dinner that night, and when Danny asks, "What's for dinner?" I direct him to the whiteboard. ;) I'd like to start posting my dinner schedule on "Meal-Planning Mondays" so I can share any recipes with you all, hopefully get comments on the posts about suggestions and/or new recipes, and I can start a running record of the cooking I do in my kitchen. So, here goes the first week!...

Monday's "Smoky Chicken & Potatoes" is a super easy, even yummier recipe that I tore out of my Family Circle magazine and tried out last month. You'll notice I get every single recipe many of my recipes from Family Circle. ;) Here's a link to the recipe--you'll have to sign up for Family Circle (it's free online!) to access the recipe.

I'll have to share Tuesday's "Tomato & Corn Pizza" recipe with you later. It's a printout, and I don't know where it's from. I'll link back up to this post when I post the recipe.

Wednesday's "Chile Colorado Burrito" is a brand spankin' new recipe that sounds delish. I'll let you know how it goes. You can find it here. You make the meat in the crockpot! I love my crockpot, and I'm a sucker for a new crockpot recipe.

Usually our "Free Night" is Friday because I don't cook Fridays (you didn't know it is a LAW that I don't cook on Fridays in our household?!), but I am going to a new member social for OCMOMs (Orange County Moms of Multiples) on Thursday night. I'm excited to meet some new moms of twins that can relate to the chaos we face, that only other twin moms can understand. I'll probably order a pizza for Danny. Not like he'll be able to eat it, though, with three kids needing to be fed, bathed, and put to bed.

Friday's "Chicken & Spinach Past Bake" is also a new recipe waiting to be added to my recipe book. I looove bakes, especially ones that include the protein, the vegetables, and the carb all in one. Recipe found here.

Happy cooking!
